This is the southern terminus of M-39 in Lincoln Park. For all practical purposes, I'm calling the terminus as being at I-75. However, this sign is actually at the first light southeast of I-75 (Lafayette Blvd.), about 500 feet past I-75. State maintenance stops at this unusual point and does not go all the way to M-85 (about 0.3 miles beyond this point), because of a parking lot in the median of Southfield Rd. between these two points, which does not meet MDOT specifications. This photo is courtesy of Dan Garnell from April 1, 2002.

I do not have a photo of the northern terminus of M-39 at this time, but since I go by that point rather frequently, I will be able to get a photo of that soon. Check back again soon.
